The Healthy Food Project is an initiative born from the recognition that food insecurity can touch any family. Launched in partnership with local law enforcement, our mission is to provide immediate nutritional support to families in need. When officers encounter households struggling with food scarcity during their duties, whether it's during home visits, community interactions, or more critical interventions, they can call on our services.

The Save Mart Companies, one of the West Coast's largest regional, full-service grocery chains, is proud to announce its newly-appointed role as the
official grocery partner of the Healthy Room Project, a trusted communities-based nonprofit. Together, they have launched the Healthy Food Project, to provide nutritious food to families and
individuals in underserved communities across California's Central Valley to strengthens the bond between police and the communities they serve, fostering an environment of trust, hope, and mutual support. By providing hope one basket at a time, we aim to transform lives, one meal at a time.

The Healthy Room Project, led by police officers, transforms the lives of children aged 5–16 facing homelessness, domestic violence, addiction, or foster care by delivering one-day bedroom makeovers complete with beds, desks, and inspiring decor. Through trust-building initiatives like 10K With A Cop, Recess Play, and Kindergarten Cop, we partner with law enforcement, teachers, and over 50 Central Valley organizations to identify kids in need, creating safe, nurturing spaces that foster hope, dignity, and stronger communities.

Make a difference in the fight against hunger. Donate to The Healthy Food Project and help us equip our police department with the tools they need to provide food security to the community they serve no matter the time of the day or night.
